Project

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

The museum extension was meant to activate a new area of the city. Colombia has also a great tradition of building in brick. So we proposed a form, both archaic and new enough to condense the forces in play and able to bring the skills and knowledge around brick to a new level. The hyperboloide works as an inverted arch in section, the most ancient way for bricks to transform force into form.
